About The Event
Following the Hymn Fest, the celebration moves to the church’s school gymnasium at 4:00 p.m. for a special screening of the 1925 silent comedy masterpiece, Seven Chances, starring Buster Keaton. This portion of the afternoon features the legendary "Mighty Kremer Wonder Organ," a 1927 theater organ that holds the distinction of being the largest theater organ in Colorado.
In the unique setting of the "Organ Gym," Kolodziej will provide a live, improvised soundtrack to Keaton’s hilarious tale. He will recreate the authentic "golden age" cinema experience using the organ’s roughly 2,500 pipes and its wide array of built-in percussion effects and "toy counter" sounds. Both events are free and open to the public.
